STRATEGIC AGREEMENT BETWEEN FIERE DI PARMA AND FIERA MILANO - PRESS RELEASE
(Parma, 9 March 2023) – Following the favourable decisions taken firstly on March 7 by the General Meeting of Fiere di Parma, and later on March 9 by the Board of Directors of Fiera Milano, the agreement between the two companies was finally signed for a harmonised management of their events dedicated to the agri-food sector, namely Cibus and Tuttofood. Fiera Milano is now the second private shareholder of Fiere di Parma with an 18.5%, share, behind Crédit Agricole Italia with 26.44% ownership. Together with Unione Parmense degli Industriali, with its 6.88% share, the private shareholders that have been managing the exhibition centre for 14 years have strengthened their agreement and the company will manage both events with Cibus’ historical partner: Federalimentare.

Parma Bagarre: italian Deballage at Fiere di Parma is confirmed as the reopening of the exhibition sector.
Excellent deals and pleasant surprises at Parma Bagarre Deballage, which concluded yesterday at Fiere di Parma: an important reopening for the entire collectibles sector, with about 500 exhibitors displaying a wide range of pieces to suit all budgets.
A new opportunity but one that is already looking towards the Autumn, when Mercanteinfiera will reopen its doors for a special anniversary. “The return to the in-person exhibition has a very high symbolic and economic value for the world of antiques. We have chosen the deballage formula because its characteristics are suitable for the current situation: it is a short event, it takes place in large spaces and its costs are low. An ideal preview of the Autumn edition of Mercanteinfiera, which is finally going to take us to the AfterCovid exhibition period that industry players have long been waiting for,” states Antonio Cellie, Fiere di Parma’s CEO and the mind behind this initiative. The pandemic has shown how the creation of new ways of interacting has further strengthened international relations. Still, nothing can replace the importance of in-person meetings, the evaluation of the piece, the direct interaction with the market, with the object and with the people selling it.
The visitors who attended the event testify to the importance of the restart, especially as regards international relations: the 1,500 operators present on the first day proved that the key countries for the antiques market were looking forward to return to Italy in order to close the leads generated during the lockdown periods.
Looking forward to the autumn surprises, Fiere di Parma concludes with satisfaction this first event of the 2021 exhibition year and keeps providing updates on the exhibition websites and on social channels.

Parma Bagarre: Italian Deballage at Fiere Di Parma in June 2021
Once again, next June, Parma will be synonymous with collectibles. The first edition of the great national market dedicated to antiques, modern antiques and collectibles will be held at the Exhibition Centre of Fiere di Parma. The event will be open to:
–

A new opportunity that has a solid background, rooted in the experience of the sector that our Exhibition Centre proudly boasts thanks to events like Mercanteinfiera and Gotha: “Being back with a show has a very high symbolic and economic value for the world of antiques. We have chosen the deballage formula because its characteristics fit nicely with this period of time: it is short, with large spaces available and costs are low. An ideal preview of the Autumn edition of Mercanteinfiera, which is finally going to take us to the AfterCovid exhibition period that industry players have long been waiting for” states Antonio Cellie, Fiere di Parma’s CEO and the mind behind this initiative.
A big antiques fair that will connect known exhibitors with dealers from all of Europe, a range of offers that line up the requirements with market trends. The pandemic has narrowed and further strengthened international relationships, creating new ways to interact that simply cannot replace the importance of direct meetings, the assessment of an object, the direct comparison with the market, with the object and its trader.
With this in mind, we invite you to look for updates regarding the exhibition on the fiereparma.it website, and on social media: we’ll be waiting for you at Bagarre, counting on your curiosity to discover Fiere di Parma’s new great event.

Mercanteinfiera returns in October 2021
The extension of the current state of emergency pushes Fiere di Parma to postpone Mercanteinfiera to October. On the other hand, from 18 to 20 June, a format inspired by the historic French antiques markets will be staged in the spaces of the Bagarre-déballage exhibition center. The “Mercante e Dintorni” talks review continues online.
Parma, March 30 – Mercanteinfiera, the Fiere di Parma event dedicated to Antiques, Vintage Collectibles and Historical Design, has had to be postponed to October. The current pandemic and the resulting unpredictability of the situation have led Fiere di Parma to reschedule the May dates.
The postponement will serve to ensure the same flow of visitors and foreign buyers that Mercanteinfiera has always provided.
In the meantime, Mercanteinfiera carries on for the international community its online and digital panel of contents (interviews and in-depth discussions) with the aim of fostering the connections behind not only the business but, especially, the cultural aspects of Mercanteinfiera, under the umbrella of Mercanteinfiera and Surroundings.
“It is a very different format from the Mercanteinfiera that everyone knows – says Ilaria Dazzi Brand Manager – but a smart way to be able to be there for our fans anyway”.
Antiques, design d’auteur and vintage collectibles will therefore be back. A gorgeous collection of evocative pieces ranging from the 15th century to the Baroque, from Art Deco to Liberty and vintage. We look forward to seeing on 2-10 October 2021 at Fiere di Parma. In the meantime, we invite you to get ready to enjoy a special edition of Bagarre-Deballage in June (18, 19 and 20thJune, 2021).
The collaboration with Antico Antico continues and will provide everyone, enthusiasts and operators, with a further opportunity to expand their business through a new mercanteinfiera.com event to mark on your calendar.
